The vet implants the microchip and it is a straightforward procedure, just like an injection. The microchip sits safely and comfortably under your pet's skin. Each microchip has a unique code which is linked to a 24 hour National database. This database contains all your pet's details and your contact details. If your pet is found away from home, most vets, animal charities and local authorities will have a microchip scanner to read the microchip unique code and then retrieve your pet's details from the National Database. Your pet is then returned to you safe and sound.
