SUMMER 2010

Flystrike in animals can be prevented.  Flystrike is more common in the spring and summer months but it can develop at any time of the year.  If you have any small animals (especially rabbits) please check them regularly.   Flystrike is commonly found around the bottom area of your pets where the flies lay their eggs.  This however can be prevented by regularly checking your animal and also ensuring their environment is kept clean.

If you suspect your pet may have flystrike please contact your Veterinary Practice immediately for further advice.

If you would like to speak to one of our team about Flystrike and its prevention please contact one of our branches and speak to one of our Veterinary Nurses.
